Renault Phillips Radios

Watch Video

All Renault radios must be removed to gain access to the radio's serial number. This includes Anatel, Blaupunkt, Continental, Daewoo, and Phillips.

The standard Renault Radio is very easy to remove from the dash, all that is required is radio release keys.

Once removed, on the back of the radio will be a sticker label, your serial number will either begin with a letter followed by three numbers, for example:

A123

This can often be found at the end of a 15 character barcode number like "8200" that will be in a box with "Security" at the end.

Renault Bosch Radios

Like any other Renault Radio, this system requires removal to access the serial number on the label. You can do this using release keys or anything that will fit the 4 pinholes in the corners of the radio.

When you have removed the radio, the serial number will start with "2811" as is the same as the other radios.

Renault Touch Screen Sat/Nav Radio

Watch Video

Touch-screen serial numbers are printed on the back of the radio.

To remove the unit from the dash you will need just a screwdriver, this will take less than 10 minutes.

Prying the plastic outer trim from the radio will reveal the 4 screws holding the radio in place.

The serial number will be on the radio's label, starting with "2811", however it is the last characters at the end here that we need. It will always be a letter followed by 3 numbers for example, A123.

Other Renault Radios

When removing the Renault Anatel radios, you'll need some release keys.

Using the release keys or any alternative that will fit the 4 pinholes, apply a little pressure and the radio should be free from the dashboard.

The serial number will be on the radio's label, starting with "2811", however, it is the last 4 characters at the end here that we need. It will always be a letter followed by 3 numbers, for example, A123.

Example Serial Numbers

When you have removed your Renault Radio, you will have to find the label located either on top or at the back/side of the radio like the one in the example image.

You will find a 15 character sequence starting with either "2811" or "8200", following this, at the end will be a letter and 3 numbers. For example "A123".
